The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency responsible for efforts to advance the behavioral health of the United States. One of its duties is the administering of opioid rehabilitation facilities, which are centers that provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction. Drug administered are drugs such as buprenorphine, methadone, and other drugs that help curb cravings and withdrawal for opioid dependent individuals.
