The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency responsible for health efforts to advance the behavioral health of the United States. One of its responsibilities is the supervision of opioid rehabilitation facilities, which are programs which provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are in the midst of opioid dependency and addiction.
