Medicare - Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Programs - Summit, NJ.

Medicare is a federal program which helps pay for medical healthcare services for people living in the Unites States who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. For individuals that do have Medicare and require substance abuse rehabilitation in Summit, Medicare may pay for certain treatment programs and recovery services. Medicare consists of different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering various forms of medical care.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A covers inpatient substance rehabilitation, and up to 60 days in treatment without a co-pay but policy holders will be required to pay a deductible. Medicare only pays for 190 days of inpatient care total, as in during the person's lifetime.

People who have Part C can have more insurance benefits available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers substance abuse related medications. Including medications associated with treating withdrawal symptoms during detoxification and medications required for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
