The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department responsible for health efforts to promote the mental health of the U.S.. One of its duties is the supervision of opioid rehab programs, which are programs who provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to people who are in the midst of opioid addiction and dependency. Medicine prescribed are drugs such as buprenorphine, methadone, and other drugs that stop withdrawal and curb cravings for opioid addicted people.
