Drug and alcohol abuse programs for Military Veterans are crucial for the mental well-being and overall stability of Veterans of all branches of the armed forces. Because drug and alcohol abuse and other mental health disorders are found at above average rates among Veterans, it is important that they get the assistance they need due to such high suicide rates also associated with these disorders among our Vets.
Drug and alcohol abuse facilities for Veterans in Castile are available through the VA, with services that include measures to address associated problems such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, pain, disturbed sleep, irritability, and/or relationship problems which most commonly trigger addiction disorders among Veterans. Rehabilitation for addiction and associated problems among Vets includes individual and group therapy and psychotherapies which can increase an individual's motivation to change. Involvement in other support such as AA and other support groups is encouraged. Medications can also be available in some circumstances to help Military Vets lessen their drug, alcohol and tobacco use.
