Medicare is a federal health insurance program that helps pay for health benefits for people living in the Unites States who are either disabled or 65 and older. For people that do have Medicare and need addiction treatment in Central Square, this program will cover various recovery programs and recovery services. Medicare consists of different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering different forms of care.
Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A pays for inpatient substance treatment, and up to 60 days in treatment without a co-pay but individuals will be required to pay a deductible. Medicare only pays for 190 days of inpatient care total, this applies to the person's lifetime.

Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an option for clients who want supplemental coverage aside from Medicare Parts A, B, and D. Individuals who have Part C may have more insurance benefits available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.
Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D pays for substance abuse related medications. Including medications associated with treating withdrawal symptoms during detoxification as well as medications required for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
