DWI Clients - Drug and Alcohol Treatment Centers - Florida, NY.

DWI clients in treatment need to complete specific requirements to fulfill the conditions of their court sentencing. Treatment facilities that help fulfill these court requirements and conditions, which are usually far more lenient than traditional sentencing such as steep fines and incarceration, are available in Florida to provide alcohol education, counseling, and additional assessment for clients with serious substance abuse issues.

Drug and Alcohol Education is a fundamental treatment tool used at rehabs treating DWI offenders. There are different levels of alcohol education classes which can differ by state. Level I education typically include 12 hours of education about the effects and dangers of drugs and/or alcohol. This is the what someone with a single offense or someone under 21 will ordinarily be required to do. Level II classes would include both substance abuse education and group therapy at a court approved program. How long a person will be required to participate in therapy depends upon certain considerations, which can include how many DWI's the individual has had, and the severity of the offense. Most often individuals will be sentenced to the Level II DWI classes and therapy except for when their blood-alcohol content level was extremely low when they were arrested and there were no other significant infractions when the person was arrested.
