Medicare is a federal program which helps pay for health care for people living in the Unites States who are either disabled or 65 and older. For individuals that do have Medicare and need addiction treatment in Nicholville, this program will cover certain treatment programs and recovery services. Medicare consists of different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering certain types of medical care.
Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A pays for inpatient addiction treatment, and up to 60 days in rehab without a co-pay but individuals will be required to pay a deductible. Medicare only covers a total of 190 days of inpatient care, as in during the individual's lifetime.
Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B covers up to 80% of the expenses associated with outpatient drug and alcohol rehab. This includes outpatient services, therapy/counseling, treatment for co-occurring disorders such as depression or anxiety and drugs administered by clinics. It also pays for professional intervention services.
Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an option for individuals who want additional coverage aside from Medicare Parts A, B, and D. People who have Part C can have more options available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.
Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications used for withdrawal symptoms during detoxification and those used for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
