Medicare is a federal health insurance program that helps pay for medical healthcare services for individuals living in the Unites States who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. People who have Part C may have more insurance benefits available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.
Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications used for withdrawal symptoms during detoxification as well as medications used for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
