The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department responsible for health efforts to promote the mental health of the United States. One of its duties is the oversight of opioid rehabilitation facilities, which are programs that offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are in the midst of opioid dependency and addiction.
