There are recovery programs offered in or near Cuyahoga Falls that cater to both methadone and buprenorphine clients only, drugs that are administered in what is known as opioid maintenance therapy. Methadone is a full opioid agonist the same as heroin, and buprenorphine is a partial agonist, meaning the same neural receptors that make a person feel high from morphine or heroin are stimulated by these two drugs so therefore an opioid dependent client will instead not become involved in drug seeking behavior and won't experience cravings and withdrawal.
