Medicare is a federal program that helps pay for medical healthcare services for individuals living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 and older. For people that do have Medicare and need drug or alcohol rehab in Fort Recovery, this program will cover certain rehabilitation programs and recovery services. Medicare comes in different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering certain forms of care.
Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A pays for inpatient substance rehabilitation, and up to 60 days in rehab without a co-pay but individuals will have to pay a deductible. Medicare only pays for a total of 190 days of inpatient care, as in during the person's lifetime.
Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B pays up to 80% of the fees associated with outpatient drug and alcohol rehab. This includes outpatient services, therapy/counseling, treatment for co-occurring disorders such as anxiety disorders or depression and medications administered by clinics. It also pays for professional interventions.
Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an option for people who want additional coverage aside from Medicare Parts A, B, and D. People who have Part C may have more options available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.
Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications associated with treating drug and alcohol withdrawal as well as medications required for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
