Young adults within the ages of 18 and 24 years old are offered substance abuse rehab programs built specifically for this age group. The most beneficial rehabilitation offered to young adults is at an inpatient rehabilitation center in Ontario which provides a broader spectrum of recovery services than outpatient facilities. Substance abuse issues and co-occurring mental health disorders can be addressed simultaneously in drug treatment programs for young adults which have psychologists or therapists on site to handle co-occurring disorders.
Young adults attending treatment programs which cater to their demographic benefit from having the peer support available and the compassion of rehab staff who are typically skilled and experienced at treating these youths.
The duration of rehabilitation can vary in young adult recovery programs, and this is often determined based off the individual's progress throughout the program. The more serious the issue is, the longer it could be recommended that the young adult continues with the program.
