The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department in charge of efforts to promote the mental health of the United States. One of its responsibilities is the supervision of opioid rehabilitation programs, which are centers that provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction.
