Medicare is a federal health insurance program which helps pay for health care for individuals living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. For individuals that do have Medicare and require substance abuse rehab in Ada, this program will pay for certain treatment programs and treatment services. Medicare comes in different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering certain types of treatment.
Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A pays for inpatient addiction rehabilitation, and up to 60 days in rehab without a co-pay but individuals will have to pay a deductible. Medicare only covers a total of 190 days of inpatient care, as in during the individual's lifetime.
Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B covers up to 80% of the fees associated with outpatient substance abuse treatment. This includes outpatient services, therapy, treatment for co-occurring disorders such as anxiety disorders or depression and medications dispensed by clinics. It also pays for professional intervention services.
Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an alternative for people who want additional coverage aside from what the other parts of Medicare have to offer. People who have Part C may have more insurance benefits available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.
Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers substance abuse related medications. Including medications used for drug and alcohol withdrawal and those used for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
