Medicare is a federal health insurance program that helps pay for medical healthcare services for individuals living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 and older. For individuals that do have Medicare and require substance abuse rehab in Duncan, Medicare may pay for certain rehabilitation programs and recovery services. Medicare consists of different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering certain forms of medical care.
Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A covers inpatient substance treatment, and up to 60 days in rehab without a co-pay but policy holders will have to pay a deductible. Medicare only pays for a total of 190 days of inpatient care, this applies to the individual's lifetime.
Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B pays up to 80% of the fees associated with outpatient drug and alcohol rehab. This includes outpatient care, therapy/counseling, treatment for co-occurring disorders such as depression or anxiety and medications administered by clinics. It also covers professional interventions.
Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an option for clients who want additional coverage apart from Medicare Parts A, B, and D. People who have Part C may have more options available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.
Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D pays for substance abuse related medications. Including medications used for withdrawal symptoms during detoxification as well as medications used for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
