Medicare is a federal program which helps pay for health care for people living in the Unites States who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. For individuals that do have Medicare and require drug or alcohol treatment in Shawnee, Medicare will cover certain rehabilitation programs and treatment services. Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications used for drug and alcohol withdrawal as well as medications required for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
