Halfway House - Drug and Alcohol Treatment Centers - Echo, OR.

When an individual has rehabilitated from a substance abuse problem, it isn't as easy as picking up where you left off. Getting back to a successful and happy life takes time and a lot of determination. A Halfway House, a.k.a. a Sober Living Facility, is an environment where recovering individuals can go where they can live in a clean and sober and healthy environment until they can live confidently on their own. Living in a Halfway House may be a condition of a person's probation for example, or the individual might make the decision to live in a Halfway House of their own accord after drug or alcohol treatment. Either way, occupants of a Halfway House are clean and sober and striving to do what they need to do to get their lives back on track. This could mean finishing school, finding employment, etc.

Halfway Houses in Echo are managed by people who in most instances were once occupants of the house. How long a person is permitted to remain at the Halfway House will differ, but it's typically anywhere from a month to a couple of years. Residents must undergo drug and alcohol testing before being accepted into the house, and this testing will continue randomly to make sure there isn't any drug use in the house or substance abuse problems that would be more adequately handled in an alcohol or drug treatment facility.
