The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department responsible for health efforts to promote the mental health of the nation. One of its obligations is the administering of opioid treatment programs, which are centers who provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to people who are in the midst of opioid addiction and dependency.
