The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency responsible for health efforts to advance the mental health of the U.S.. One of its duties is the oversight of opioid rehab facilities, which are programs who offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are in the midst of opioid dependency and addiction. Medications administered are drugs such as buprenorphine, methadone, and other drugs which help curb cravings and withdrawal for opioid addicted clients.
