Medicare - Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Programs - Philadelphia, PA.

Medicare is a federal program which helps pay for health benefits for individuals living in the Unites States who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. For individuals who do have Medicare and need drug or alcohol treatment in Philadelphia, this program will cover various rehabilitation programs and recovery services. Medicare comes in different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering different kinds of treatment.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A covers inpatient substance treatment, and up to 60 days in treatment without a co-pay but policy holders will have to pay a deductible. Medicare only covers a total of 190 days of inpatient care, as in during the individual's lifetime.

Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B covers up to 80% of the expenses associated with outpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation. This includes outpatient care, therapy, treatment for co-occurring mental health disorders such as depression or anxiety and medications dispensed by clinics. It also covers professional intervention services.

Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an option for clients who want supplemental health insurance apart from Medicare Parts A, B, and D. Individuals who have Part C can have more insurance benefits available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers substance abuse related medications. Including medications associated with treating withdrawal symptoms during detoxification and medications used for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
