DWI Clients - Alcohol and Drug Treatment Programs - Southeastern, PA.

DWI clients in rehab need to complete specific requirements to satisfy the terms of their sentencing. Rehab programs that help fulfill these court requirements and terms, which are usually more lenient than regular sentencing such as heavy fines and incarceration, are offered in Southeastern to deliver DWI classes, counseling, and further evaluation for clients with serious drug or alcohol problems.

Education is a primary treatment tool used at rehab programs treating DWI clients. There are various levels of alcohol education classes which can vary by state. Level I education usually include 12 hours of education about the effects of drugs and/or alcohol. This is the what someone with a single conviction or someone under the age of 21 will often be required to complete. Level II DWI classes would include both substance abuse education and therapy in a court approved program. How long a person will need to remain in therapy depends upon various considerations, which can be, for example, how many DWI's the individual has had, and the severity of the violation. Most often individuals will be required to take the Level II DWI classes and therapy unless their blood-alcohol level was very low when they were stopped and there weren't any other significant charges when the individual was arrested.
