The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department in charge of efforts to promote the behavioral health of the U.S.. One of its responsibilities is the administering of opioid rehabilitation facilities, which are centers which offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to people who are in the midst of opioid dependency and addiction. Medications administered are drugs like buprenorphine, methadone, and other drugs which help curb cravings and withdrawal for opioid addicted people.
