The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency in charge of health efforts to advance the behavioral health of the U.S.. One of its duties is the administering of opioid treatment programs, which are centers that provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to people who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction.
