The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency responsible for efforts to promote the mental health of the U.S.. One of its duties is the administering of opioid rehabilitation programs, which are centers that provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction. Drug prescribed are drugs such as methadone, buprenorphine and other drugs which stop curb cravings and withdrawal for opioid dependent clients.
