Medicare is a federal program that helps pay for health care for people living in the Unites States who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. For individuals that do have Medicare and need drug or alcohol recovery services in Anna, Medicare will pay for certain recovery programs and treatment services. Medicare consists of different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering certain kinds of care.
Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A covers inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation, and up to 60 days in treatment without a co-pay but individuals will have to pay a deductible. Medicare only pays for 190 days of inpatient care total, as in during the individual's lifetime.
Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B pays up to 80% of the fees for outpatient substance abuse rehabilitation. This includes outpatient care, therapy/counseling, treatment for co-occurring mental health disorders such as depression or anxiety and drugs dispensed by clinics. It also covers professional intervention services.
Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an option for clients who want supplemental coverage aside from what the other parts of Medicare have to offer. People who have Part C may have more insurance benefits available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.
Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers substance abuse related medications. Including medications associated with treating drug and alcohol withdrawal and medications required for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
