Medicare - Alcohol and Drug Rehab Programs - Austin, TX.

Medicare is a federal program which helps pay for health benefits for individuals living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 and older. For people who do have Medicare and require addiction rehab in Austin, Medicare will cover certain rehabilitation programs and recovery services. Medicare comes in different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering different kinds of medical care.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A covers inpatient addiction treatment, and up to 60 days in rehab without a co-pay but policy holders will be required to pay a deductible. Medicare only covers a total of 190 days of inpatient care, as in during the person's lifetime.

Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B pays up to 80% of the fees for outpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation. Individuals who have Part C can have more options available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications used for withdrawal symptoms during detoxification as well as medications required for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
