Drug and alcohol abuse programs for Vets are essential for the mental health and overall stability of Vets of all branches of the military. Because alcohol and drug abuse and other mental health problems are experienced at above average rates among Veterans, it is important that Veterans get the help they need because of such high suicide rates also associated with these disorders with our Vets.
