Medicare is a federal program that helps pay for health care for people living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. For individuals that do have Medicare and require addiction rehab in Krum, this program can pay for various rehab programs and recovery services. Medicare comes in different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering various kinds of treatment.
Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A pays for inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation, and up to 60 days in rehab without a co-pay but policy holders will be required to pay a deductible. Medicare only pays for 190 days of inpatient care total, as in during the individual's lifetime.
Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B pays up to 80% of the expenses associated with outpatient substance abuse treatment. This includes outpatient care, therapy/counseling, treatment for co-occurring disorders such as depression or anxiety and medications dispensed by clinics. It also covers professional intervention services.
Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an alternative for individuals who want additional health insurance apart from what the other parts of Medicare have to offer. People who have Part C may have more insurance benefits available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.
Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D pays for substance abuse related medications. Including medications used for withdrawal symptoms during detoxification as well as those required for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
