The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency in charge of efforts to advance the mental health of the nation. One of its obligations is the supervision of opioid rehabilitation facilities, which are centers that offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to people who are in the midst of opioid dependency and addiction. Medicine prescribed are drugs such as methadone, buprenorphine and other drugs that stop curb cravings and withdrawal for opioid addicted people. SAMSHA certified opioid treatment programs in Thrall are programs who are officially permitted to distribute the drugs used in MAT being they remain certified and continue to meet certain requirements.
