The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency in charge of health efforts to advance the behavioral health of the United States. One of its duties is the administering of opioid treatment facilities, which are programs that provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are experiencing opioid addiction and dependency.
