Medicare is a federal program which helps pay for medical healthcare services for people living in the Unites States who are either disabled or 65 and older. Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D pays for substance abuse related medications. Including medications associated with treating drug and alcohol withdrawal and medications used for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
