Partial hospitalization/Day Treatment is a type of out-patient addiction rehabilitation program which is just below intensive outpatient and more intensive than normal out-patient rehab. Partial Hospitalization Day Treatment is also tailored to individuals who require in-depth rehab for a dual-diagnosis disorder, but don't require twenty-four hour intervention and care. When a client is in a partial hospitalization day treatment facility, they typically participate in services anywhere from three to five days per week. It is very much like an in-patient program in many significant ways, including the fact that clients will have access tomental health professionals, physicians and nurses who can address the physical, emotional and psychological challenges they are trying to overcome. For at least four to six hrs on the days that individuals participate in partial hospitalization day treatment, they will receive personalized addiction therapy, attend group counseling sessions, psychotherapy sessions, get any necessary medical care and address any of the mental health problems that trigger their drug and alcohol addiction.
