Medicare is a federal program that helps pay for health care for individuals living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. Individuals who have Part C may have more options available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D pays for drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications associated with treating drug and alcohol withdrawal and those used for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
