The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department responsible for efforts to promote the behavioral health of the U.S.. One of its duties is the administering of opioid treatment programs, which are programs who provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are in the midst of opioid addiction and dependency. Drug administered are drugs like methadone, buprenorphine and other drugs that help withdrawal and curb cravings for opioid dependent clients. SAMSHA certified opioid treatment programs in Conrath are programs that are legally allowed to give out the medications used in MAT as long as they maintain their certification and always maintain the necessary requirements.
