The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency responsible for efforts to advance the mental health of the United States. One of its obligations is the administering of opioid treatment facilities, which are centers which provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to people who are in the midst of opioid addiction and dependency.
