The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency in charge of health efforts to promote the mental health of the United States. One of its duties is the supervision of opioid treatment programs, which are centers which offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to people who are in the midst of opioid addiction and dependency.
