It is a known fact that people in rehab for substance abuse are more likely to smoke tobacco, 75 percent in fact. With that being said very few programs address the situation as a primary addiction, even though the fact that helping individuals quit smoking during treatment is associated with a 25 percent greater chance the individual will remain free from substance abuse. As a result, there are 'smoking not allowed' drug rehabilitation programs in Juda that implement a smoking ban and most of them also provide treatment for nicotine addiction.
While total bans on smoking are not the norm, an increasing number of facilities are beginning to enforce their own bans, but also state and local tobacco-free workplace mandates attempt to make rehabs completely smoke-free environments. In so doing, they bypass the need to develop and implement facility policies that are already legally in place and enforced legally by state and local agencies. Implementing a smoking ban may deter potential clients who smoke starting treatment. In the meantime, it will help those who do choose a no smoking drug and alcohol addiction rehab program be better able to recover in a completely addiction and drug free environment.
