The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department responsible for efforts to promote the behavioral health of the United States. One of its duties is the oversight of opioid treatment facilities, which are centers who provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are experiencing opioid addiction and dependency.
