The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department responsible for health efforts to advance the behavioral health of the U.S.. One of its duties is the oversight of opioid rehab programs, which are centers who provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction. Drug administered are drugs such as buprenorphine, methadone, and other drugs that stop withdrawal and curb cravings for opioid addicted clients.
