Medicare - Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Programs - Athens, WV.

Medicare is a federal program which helps pay for health care for people living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. For people that do have Medicare and need substance abuse recovery services in Athens, this program can pay for certain rehabilitation programs and recovery services. Medicare comes in different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering different types of medical care.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A pays for inpatient addiction treatment, and up to 60 days in treatment without a co-pay but individuals will be required to pay a deductible. Medicare only covers a total of 190 days of inpatient care, this applies to the person's lifetime.

Individuals who have Part C can have more insurance benefits available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications associated with treating drug and alcohol withdrawal and those required for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
