Medicare is a federal health insurance program which helps pay for health benefits for people living in the Unites States who are either disabled or 65 and older. For individuals that do have Medicare and require substance abuse recovery services in Cheyenne, Medicare will pay for certain rehab programs and recovery services. Medicare consists of different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering certain types of treatment.
Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A pays for inpatient drug and alcohol treatment, and up to 60 days in treatment without a co-pay but policy holders will have to pay a deductible. Medicare only covers 190 days of inpatient care total, as in during the person's lifetime.
Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B pays up to 80% of the fees associated with outpatient drug and alcohol rehab. This includes outpatient services, therapy/counseling, treatment for co-occurring disorders such as anxiety disorders or depression and drugs administered by clinics. It also pays for professional intervention services.
Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an alternative for people who want supplemental health insurance in addition to Medicare Parts A, B, and D. Individuals who have Part C can have more options available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.
Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications used for drug and alcohol withdrawal and those used for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
